Up with the new! Down with the old! Port
Arthur continues to demolish itself. The city was
blessed with beautiful
architecture and now it's gone forever.
Several demolition
photos were sent in by Paul Fitzner. "I went to visit the
OldThomasJeffersonHigh School/ Edison
Jr. High on 12thStreet
in
Port Arthur this
morning. Demolition has already started. The
front of the building has not been touched as of
yet. The Field House is already gone. The rear
of the school is in the process of being
destroyed. I will return to the site from time
to time for more pictures."
Paul also sent in photos of the new Thomas
Jefferson Middle School.

Port Arthur, Texas
Route '66
- The school year of 1965-66 was unique and colorful.

Seniors of 1967- Thomas Jefferson High School,
Port Arthur, Texas
This is the
Shape of '67.
Formed by the living, laughing, and learning of most
2,400 students, '67 proved to be a year filled with
tears, happiness, and hope. Put into the
hands of seniors, juniors, and sophomores who journeyed
here, '67 was a year of pride, play, and plenty.

This
was an idea sent in by Terry Watson back in January
of 2007. It became real popular as many of our
classmates have sent in stories
of all kinds from their past. If you have a
recurring article that recounts stories from the
old days in and around TJ and PA send it in for
publication. As Terry said, "Some of
these stories might be true."
Here's
an opportunity that allows you the classmate and others
to enter information such as name, address, and email
address along with a
public comment field. As you enter the site, always
check the Guest Book, you might
find that a classmate has just left a note.
